Avatar (2009)
In 1994 James Cameron (director of Avatar) wrote a story in 80 pages. He planned to begin creation of Avatar in 1999 (after Titanic completion). But technical resources didn’t  permit to realize Cameron’s ideas, therefore he could to develop Avatar only in 2005. Budget of Avatar was $280- 300 million. Filmmakers earned on Avatar $27 million on December 18, 2009  (its opening day) and $ 77  million – in opening weekend. Before New Year Avatar earned over $1 billion. This film became the second highest-grossing movie after Titanic.
Avatar is science fiction film. Action is taking place in 2154. On planet Pandora live Na-vi – humanoids with feline characteristics. Pandora’s climate is toxic for humans, but there is unobtanium – a precious mineral is very interesting for Earth’s inhabitants.  Main characters are Neytiri ( Zoe Saldana) – is princess, sapient blue-skinned humanoid; Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) – desabled U.S. Marine, replaced with murdered his twin brother – is a part of Avatar Program.
Avatar won the Best Picture Award in New York Film Critics Online, 9 nominations (including Best Director, Best Picture) in Critics’ Chice Awards and many other awards.
