Mel Gibson is looking forward to shoot a Viking epic

Mel GibsonAfter Mel Gibson performed Oscar-winning role in film about medieval Scotland, he is looking forward to another historical epic about Vikings.

Mel Gibson, who returns to work after playing role in the action-thriller “Edge of Darkness,” said he dreamed to make  a picture about the Norse warriors, when he was a child.

“The very first idea that I ever had about making a haze, my first thought ever about being a filmmaker was when I was 16-time-old, and I sought to make a Viking movie,” Gibson said to reporters.

Golden Globe nominations announced

Golden GlobeThe 67th yearly Golden Globe nominations for best performance by an actor in a supporting function in a movement picture have been announced in Beverly Hills, Calif. by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The organize’s five nominees announced Tuesday morning included: Penelope Cruz (”Nine”), Vera Farmiga (”Up in the Air”), Anna Kendrick (”Up in the Air”), Mo’Nique (”Precious”) and Julianne Moore (”A Single Man“).

Flynt wins unfair victory in wrangle over his name

Larry FlyntThe porn family quarrel that played out in central quad this week finished in a draw Friday when a jury ruled that Larry Flynt’s alienated nephews infringed on their notorious uncle’s make when they launched their own lowdown industry, but did not invade his privacy and were not liable for the substantial attorney fees both sides rang up.

The jury of four men and four women rendered its verdict after a four-day burden, during which they sat next to a big-shield TV that was worn repeatedly to show blown-up photos of porn DVD boxes featuring naked women on the front and people engaged in all sorts of contortions on the back.

Swiss places Polanski under home arrest Friday

Roman PolanskiBERN, Switzerland – After more than two months in a Swiss jail, Roman Polanski will be sited under house arrest at his Alpine lodge on Friday, authorities said.

The 76-year-old executive must defer in the house and abrasion an electronic bangle as officials decide whether to return him to the U.S. for having sex in 1977 with a 13-year-old teenager, the authorities said.

Polanski will be transferred on Friday to Gstaad,” said Folco Galli, the Swiss Justice Ministry spokesman. He said the filmmaker could be in his home by early daylight.

Keith Arem to supervise “Frost Road”

Keith AremLOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Keith Arem, the talent boss of the best-breaking Activision Blizzard record ready “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,” will make his piece directing entrance with the action thriller “Frost Road.”

Schwimmer back in the director’s chair for ‘Trust’
